Indicted politician reportedly blew $82K on a woolly mammoth tusk

An indicted New Jersey lawmaker allegedly blew tens of thousands of dollars on bizarre and extravagant goodies — including an $82,000 woolly mammoth tusk — while borrowing money from pals and business associates, according to a report.
Ocean County Republican boss George Gilmore, who was busted for tax evasion in January, also spent $50,000 on model trains and tacky blown glass art, according to aap.com, which cited court testimony.
The 69-year-old county board of elections chairman allegedly plunked down $2.5 million on personal items while he owed nearly $1.5 million in taxes, according to the indictment.
