Ex-cops accused of handcuffing, raping teen might dodge sex assault charges

The Brooklyn District Attorney’s office has abandoned rape charges against the two ex-cops accused of handcuffing then having sex with a young woman in 2017, The Post has learned.

Former NYPD officers Eddie Martins and Richard Hall were originally slapped with charges of forcible rape, sexual assault and kidnapping over the Sept. 15, 2017 incident, but prosecutors are no longer pursuing any of those counts, according to multiple sources.

The DA is are now seeking a new indictment against the two men, with the lesser charges of bribery and official misconduct, sources say.

The duo were facing up to 25 years behind bars — but the maximum sentence on the new charges is 2 ¹/₃ to 7 years in prison for the top count.

A grand jury has not yet handed up the new indictment, but sources familiar with the matter said the accuser — who goes by the pseudonym Anna Chambers — will not testify as she did previously.
